This post should be easy!  If you take my post in the thread “Friday 10/22, 9:30@Parma” and change just a few items you’d just about have my flight story for today.  It’s unbelievable!  I landed within 10 feet and 10 minutes of where I put down last Friday.  As I began my hike East on the road I came across a new set of bear tracks at the exact same spot as last week.  It had rained hard since last week so I new these tracks were new.  Same day of the week, same time of day, same turkey sandwich with two chocolate chip cookies, same bear tracks and the same re-launch location.  This is too weird.  I’m just glad I wasn’t wearing the same underwear.  It was like I was watching the movie “Groundhog Day” and I was the star.  I guess I’ll have to repeat this flight every Friday until I get it right…

I watched Pipkin, Meyer, Truax and Faoro fly over the top of me while I was hiking out from the base of Whiteledge, all sounding off altitudes of 5k and better.  Ooh, that stung just a bit…  What’s worse is that while I was hiking below them small rocks began hitting the ground all around me.  Of course as soon as I looked up in the direction of my friends flying over me they were all looking away from me, hands behind their backs and whistling.  C’mon, that's just cruel… :)

It only took me 1 hour to get to the re-launch location and lay out the glider.  I was in the air soon after and got about 4-500 over launch within a couple minutes.  Unfortunately it wasn’t enough altitude for me to jump back to the main spine so I eventually took aim for Hwy 150, sat back and enjoyed the view.  By this time everyone was way down range and heading towards Fillmore.  OJ was there to pick me up shortly after I landed and I hung out with him and Susan swapping stories until the gang came back to pick me up.

It was a fun day, can’t wait to do it again next Friday.
