Pine SS to Rose Valley

On paper it was light and variable up to 18k, so 11 pilots showed up with high hopes. I fumbled about on launch so long I finally picked up and went to the road to sort out lines. Back on launch I fumbled some more. Finally thought I had it worked out; pulled up, launched, and had a full twist in the left riser. Decided not to let that ruin my perfect Pine record of 100% good flights and climbed to 12,346. Went on glide for NHS and got smacked with 1,654 down and lost 2,500 feet in five minutes. Crossed dry lakes ridge, but at 6,400 turned due east to land at Rose valley. At this point the wind was 10-12 from the west so a nice landing on the road. Packed up and walked back to the 33 and retrieve w/in 10 minutes.

One more tomorrow and I'll have as many mountain flights as training hill flights.
