We are in the go mode.  Sharon has done a great job juggling shifting logistics.

Sharon's update: October 16, 2003

Greetings Topas!

Welcome to the Advanced Introduction (try to figure that out) to the Sierra’s Clinic. Or How to Outdo your Personal Best by a Hundred Miles. Anyway, we’re all ready to go to the Owens. Here’s a brief rundown of who’s doing what and where. Chris P. and Eddie are leaving early Friday to fly. Dan, Benson and Ron are doing the same thing. Sharon and Tom are leaving around 3:00PM. Mark and Alan King are leaving after 8:00 PM. Bob P. is leaving from the Valley in the afternoon. Randall is planning to join one of those groups.

16 pilots + 3 crew
Vehicles: Tom’s Suburban, Mark’s SUV

Friday night rooms reserved:
Singles: Sharon , Benson, Tom T.
Doubles: Ron and Tom P. , Dan & Mark and Rob Sporrer & pilot
Frontier Best Western- 769 876-5571

Tom Pipkin and Brendan are hosting a PARTY at Turtle Creek Campgrounds Friday night. You bring your own booze and paragliding stories. They’ll provide more BS and the campfire! S’mores...anyone?

SATURDAY MORNING MEET TIME: 8:30AM WHITNEY CAFE.
Be ready to fly, not order breakfast. Meet in the parking lot!

Consolation Prize: Flynn’s in the afternoon. You can fly to Nevada from there as well if you’re lucky/good/whatever....

Saturday night: Ramada Inn 760 872-1771 155 E. Elm Street
3 singles, 3 doubles. Same people except the double is taken so far.
ALL ROOMS ARE UNDER MY CREDIT CARD SO CANCEL THE RESERVATION IF YOU’RE NOT COMING! Otherwise I’ll pass on the charges to your credit card...like how that works?

Robb Sporrer is bringing 8 pilots and will be with us! We will gain the expertise of both Tom and Robb. There will be a great group from San Fran flying the valley and of course the merry locals from Kari’s group will be flying during the weekend as well.

It is going to be great flying fun!
